On 12 December 2025, Ghee Hiang marked a significant milestone in Penang with a “Triple Celebration” event, commemorating its 170th anniversary through the unveiling of its 170th Year Anniversary signboard, the relaunch of the newly renovated Macalister Road Outlet, and the launch of the 2026 Chinese New Year Gift Box. The event was graced by YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang.

This milestone celebration reflects Ghee Hiang’s enduring legacy as one of Penang’s most iconic heritage brands, while reaffirming its commitment to preserving tradition and embracing modernity. The refreshed Macalister Road outlet offers an enhanced shopping experience, providing customers with a welcoming space to enjoy Ghee Hiang’s signature products.

The event also marked the launch of Ghee Hiang’s 2026 Chinese New Year Gift Box, featuring refreshed festive packaging and the brand’s signature flavours, thoughtfully curated for gifting and sharing during the festive season.
